About Metapally

Metpally is a town in Karimnagar district in Telangana. The town which  comes under Korutla Assembly Constituency and Nizamabad Parliament Constituency was recently upgraded to a municipality. It lies in border of the Karimnagar and Nizamabad districts. It is surrounded by Ibrahimpatnam Mandal towards North, Kathalapur Mandal towards South, Kammarapalle Mandal towards west, and Korutla Mandal towards East.

Economy of Metpally

The main occupation of the villagers is agriculture. A variety of crops are grown here including cotton, corn, castor, sunflower, turmeric, Gingelly, moong dal and groundnuts. Rice, cotton, turmeric, corn, are the major crops. However, irrigation facilities need to be improved in this region.

The nearest railway station is Jagityal. Rail facility works are going on in Metpally. One can also  use Nizamambad railway station which is 65km from Metpally. Hyderabad is at a distance of 218 km from Metpally. Korutla which is 10km from Metpally is the nearest town to Metpally. Road connectivity from Korutla to Metpally and Kammarpally to the other side enables easy transportation.
